संघ लोक सेवा आयोग की सिविल सेवा परीक्षा (आई.ए.एस./आई.पी.एस/ आई.एफ.एस. आदि) और राज्य लोक सेवा आयोगों की सिविल सेवा परीक्षा (पी.सी.एस.) भारत की बेहद प्रतिष्ठित लेकिन कठिन मानी जाने वाली परीक्षाएं हैं। सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में सफलता हासिल करना, हिंदी पट्टी के किसी भी युवा का सपना हो सकता है। हिंदी भाषी राज्यों के ऐसे हज़ारों-लाखों युवक-युवतियां हैं, जो हिंदी माध्यम लेकर इस परीक्षा का तिलिस्म तोड़ना चाहते हैं।
सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में हिंदी की राह थोड़ी कठिन ज़रूर हो सकती है, पर असम्भव नहीं। अप-टू-डेट अध्ययन सामग्री की कमी और प्रोफ़ेशनल एप्रोच का अभाव हिंदी माध्यम के अभ्यर्थियों के सामने बड़ी चुनौतियां हैं। लेकिन अगर हिंदी वाले स्मार्ट एप्रोच अपनाएं और हिंदी में उपलब्ध प्रामाणिक स्टडी मैटेरियल की पहचान कर उसका भरपूर इस्तेमाल कर लें, तो इस समस्या से निजात पायी जा सकती है। साथ ही सकारात्मक सोच के साथ आगे बढ़ें, तो सफलता की सम्भावनाएं कई गुना बढ़ सकती हैं।
आने वाले दिनों में सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में हिंदी माध्यम की सम्भावनाएं काफी उज्ज्वल हैं। 2014 की सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में सौभाग्य से मुझे 13वीं रैंक और हिंदी माध्यम में पहला स्थान मिला था। 2015 में भी हिंदी माध्यम के अभ्यर्थियों ने 62वीं और 99वीं रैंक हासिल की है। हिंदी माध्यम वाले अपनी मेहनत और दृढ़ निश्चय से अपनी राह बना रहे हैं और आगे भी बनाते रहेंगे। आप बस 'अपनी लकीर बड़ी करें'।
अंग्रेज़ी कोई हौव्वा नहीं है। अंग्रेज़ी पर कामचलाऊ पकड़ बना लें, क्योंकि मुख्य परीक्षा में अंग्रेज़ी का क्वालिफ़ाइंग पेपर पास करना होता है। दूसरा, अगर आप अंग्रेज़ी में सहज हैं, तो अंग्रेज़ी में उपलब्ध अच्छे ऑनलाइन मैटीरियल तक भी आप अपनी पहुंच बना सकते हैं। निबंध, एथिक्स और वैकल्पिक विषय के पेपर पर अपनी पकड़ बनाएं, ताकि अंग्रेज़ी माध्यम के अभ्यर्थियों के मुक़ाबले प्रतियोगिता में टिक सकें। वैकल्पिक विषय ऐसा चुनें, जिसमें हिंदी में मैटीरियल और मार्गदर्शन उपलब्ध हो। आजकल हिंदी में भी अच्छी अध्ययन सामग्री की कमी नहीं है। तमाम सरकारी प्रकाशन, जैसे एनसीईआरटी की किताबें, योजना, कुरुक्षेत्र जैसी पत्रिकाए, रेडियो, टीवी और सरकारी वेबसाइटें हिंदी में उपलब्ध हैं। बड़े और मशहूर लेखकों की किताबों के हिंदी अनुवाद भी उपलब्ध हैं। जैसे पोलिटी के लिए एम लक्ष्मीकान्त और हिस्ट्री के लिए स्पेक्ट्रम। लेखन कौशल पर विशेष ध्यान दें और उत्तर लिखने का नियमित अभ्यास करें। प्रीलिम्स के लिए पिछले सालों के प्रश्नपत्र और टेस्ट सीरीज़ का अभ्यास करते रहें।
