काली घोर घटा है छाई,उमड़-घुमड़कर बरखा आई।
भर गगरी जल बादल लाए
धीमे-धीमे से मुसकाए,
बहे मलय के छोर से प्यारी
मंद-मंद मीठी पुरवाई।
फूलों में है नई ताजगी
खुशबू में है नई सादगी,
पत्तों पर जब बूँद चमकती
सचमुच मोती पड़ें दिखाई।
बरखा रानी बड़ी सयानी
हँसमुख चंचल सी मस्तानी,
आती हो बस बादल के संग
हुई ज्यों उसके साथ सगाई।
राहुल-रोहन चले नहाने
नई फुहार का मजा उठाने,
जाओगे तो गिर जाओगे
यों चिल्लाकर बोली ताई।
चेहरों पर है चमक निराली
मुसकानें खेलें मतवाली,
मस्ती में झूमें सब ऐसे
ज्यों दीवाली-ईद मनाई।
